Kathmandu, May 13: A telephone conversation between Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been held on Wednesday afternoon.
The both Head of the Governments discussed about the recent earthquake in Nepal and the recurring aftershocks as well the loss of lives and properties caused by it. They also talked about the efforts being made in connection to the rescue and relief operation, according to a press statement issued by the Prime Minister's Personal Secretariat.
Prime Minister Koirala, during the conversation, briefed the Indian Primer how the fresh tremor of May 12 had spread panic among the public while the people's life was gradually crawling back to normalcy following the April 25 quake.
Mentioning that the tremor of the recent quake was also felt in Indian capital city, Delhi, PM Koirala expressed his sorrow over the loss of life and properties the tremors caused in Indian state Bihar.
PM Koirala also lauded the Indian government's support, lent at the request of the government of Nepal, for the search-and-rescue and relief operation. He has also extended gratefulness towards the Indian government and the people of India for lending helping hands to Nepali at the adverse time like this. RSS
