Among others, local dealers of phone-makers Gionee, Micromax and Huawei have announced that they will be unwrapping their latest models before the Nepali New Year's day according to the Bikram Sambat calendar, which falls on April 14.
TeleTalk, the authorized distributor of Gionee mobile phones for Nepal, has scheduled the launch of its flagship phone -- Elife S7 -- for April 12. According to Sanjay Agrawal, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, the phone is equipped with all latest in mobile phone technology and will cost around Rs 38,000 in the Nepali market.The Gionee handset is a dual-SIM smartphone which runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone features a 5.2-inch full HD Super Amoled display with a pixel density of 424 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The Elife S7 is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 64-bit Octa-core processor. It sports a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera. The phone has a 2GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt memory.
Likewise, Pashupati Trade Link, the authorized distributor of Micromax mobile phones for Nepal, will launch the Canvas Fire 4 A107 smartphone in Nepal this week.
Officials of the company say the new phone will be launched at the Mobile Expo 2015 -- slated to begin on April 10 at the CTC Mobile Bazar in SUndhara, Kathmandu.
The phone comes with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and operates on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The screen features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. It has an 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front-facing cameras.
Call Mobility, the authorized distributor of Huawei mobile phones for Nepal, will also launch its new phone -- the Huawei Cherry at the Mobile Expo. According to Roshan Neupane, Marketing Head at the company, the phone incorporates the best and latest features that have been dragging attention of smartphone lovers. However, the full specifications of the phone have not been made public yet.
