Today's meeting of the PHSC held under the chairmanship of Committee Chair Kul Bahadur Gurung approved the recommendation of member Krishna Chandra Jha with majority and others unanimously.The Constitutional Council had recommended Umesh Mainali to the post of Chair and Govinda Kusum, Brinda Hada (Bhattarai), Krishna Chandra Jha, Shreepurush Dhakal, Ashok Kumar Jha and Bramhadev Raya as the members.
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav would endorse their appointments as per Article 125 (2) of the Interim Constitution-2063 BS. The term of the chairman and members is of six years.
Today's meeting of the PHSC also decided to initiate hearing of commissioners recommended at the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). The hearing shall begin from coming March 29. RSS
