A Nepali team led by Armed Police Force (APF) Additional Inspector General Kishor Lama will hold discussions with security officials from Tibet.
Chief District Officers (CDOs) of various hill and mountainous districts including Mustang, Solukhumbu, Sindhuli, Taplejung, Dolakha and Sankhuwasabha and security experts will be included in the Nepali team.
The delegation will also include officials from Nepal Police, APF and the National Investigation Department.
The two counties had failed to hold such meetings in recent years.
Tibetan authorities had closed the Korala Nechung border point in Mustang district time and again due to failure to hold such meetings.
People living in upper Mustang have been exporting and importing goods from the nearby Tibetan market.
Locals at Chhoser, Chhunag, Chhonupu, Lomanthang, Ghami, Charang VDCs were affected by the closer of the border point.
According to local businessmen, Tibetan authorities have lately tightened the movement of Nepalis in the Tibetan market for fear of anti-China activities.
According to Sundar Raj Adhikari, CDO of Mustang, they have started issuing identity cards to businessmen importing and exporting goods between Tibet and Nepal.
