The two counties had failed to hold such meetings in recent years.

Tibetan authorities had closed the Korala Nechung border point in Mustang district time and again due to failure to hold such meetings.

People living in upper Mustang have been exporting and importing goods from the nearby Tibetan market.

Locals at Chhoser, Chhunag, Chhonupu, Lomanthang, Ghami, Charang VDCs were affected by the closer of the border point.

According to local businessmen, Tibetan authorities have lately tightened the movement of Nepalis in the Tibetan market for fear of anti-China activities.

According to Sundar Raj Adhikari, CDO of Mustang, they have started issuing identity cards to businessmen importing and exporting goods between Tibet and Nepal.
