DAMAK, Dec 15: Of late, there has been a marked rise in murder, kidnapping and robbery among other crimes along the Nepal-India border in Jhapa district. Taking advantage of the open border, criminals find it convenient to cross over to India after committing crime in Nepal.
LAHAN, Dec 10: On Friday, the house of Baiju Agarwal in the Indian city of Laukaha was robbed. Acting smart, the dacoits ran away to their safe haven, which happens to be Bhagwanpur Rural Municipality-4, Thadi of Nepal. After sheltering there for a few days, they went away leaving behind some of the less important things along with a bomb hidden inside a bag on the bank of Balan River in Thadi.
KATHMANDU, Dec 8: A team of officers from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD), Teku on Friday fired a shot at robbery-accused Rajan Limbu in process of arresting him from his alleged hideout in the Ratopul area in the capital.

CHITWAN, Aug 5: Prabhat Didibahini Savings and Credits Co-operative of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12 was robbed on July 29. Head of the co-operative Saraswati Kalita Shah said that Rs 548,660 in cash was looted from a metal safe in the co-operative office.
