Candidates and cadres of different political parties have engaged their efforts in rural areas in the district, and are asking for votes in the election. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) are the major competitors in constituency No. 1 while Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist) and Rashtriya Janmorcha are the major contenders in constituency No. 2, it is learnt.[break]
The competitive candidates from different political parties from constituency No. 1 of the district are Mohan Bahadur Bam from UCN (Maoist), Bir Bahadur Balayar from Nepali Congress, Narad Malasi from UML and Lal Bahadur Khadka from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Nepal.
Likewise, candidates from constituency No. 2 are Trilochan Bhatta from UCN (Maoist), Yogendra Shahi from Nepali Congress, Prem Bahadur Ale Magar from UML, Thir Bahadur Malasi from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Nepal and Mani Lal Bhatta from Rashtriya Jana Morcha.
UML and UCPN (Maoist) had won earlier CA election from constituency No. 1 and 2 respectively.
