Security problem in polling booths in Banke

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 15: Security problem is perceived in the upcoming election in the polling booths of seven VDCs of Baghauda area across the Rapti River seen more sensitive, as the Baghauda Postal Road could not be maintained.



The administration said security forces can not be sent promptly in the 17 booths there if the road is not repaired. [break]



Traffic has been halted along the road after the Bailey bridge being built and the two km road from the Rapti River were swept away by floods.



Large ditches appear in the road in Narainapur, Kalaghanta, Katakuinya, Laxmanpur, Fattepur, Matehiya, Gangapur, Bhojbhagawanpur areas. The road could not be repaired due to continuous rains, said government officers.



One has to cross the river by boat to reach the polling booths in Ward No. 1,2,3,4 of Holiya VDC.



We can face problem in election security if the road is not maintained for vehicles to ply, said CDO Jiwan Kumar Wali.
