KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Polling stations have been set up at three places for the election to be held on Monday (tomorrow) under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress (NC). Similarly, arrangements have been made for voting through 1,100 booths.
“After the increase in the number of voters, the Election Committee has set up polling stations in three places,” said Dr. Suresh Acharya, Coordinator of the General Convention Media Center. Arrangements have been made for the Central Working Committee, Public Relations Committee, fraternal and well-wishers, Karnali and Lumbini to cast their votes in the National Assembly.

Similarly, arrangements have been made for the voters of Province No. 2 and Gandaki to cast their votes in the premises of Bhrikutimandap. According to the party's Central Election Committee, voting has been arranged for the delegates of the General Convention of Province No. 1, Bagmati and Far-Western Provinces in the hall of Bhrikuti Mandap. The committee has stated that 29 types of ballot papers have been provided for the election and separate ballot boxes have been provided for all the ballot papers.
There will be 293 booths in the National Assembly Hall, 293 booths in the Bhrikutimandap premises and 514 booths in the hall of Bhrikutimandap. Voting will take place on Monday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Though discussions were held in the General Convention on the use of electronic voting machines, voting will eventually take place on paper ballots.
