70 MW Mid-Marshyangdi producing only 20 MW

KATHMANDU, March 26: Generation of electricity by the country’s second largest hydropower project Mid-Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project has reduced by more than half, Kantipur FM said. The project has cited sharp reduction in water level in the river as the reason. The 70MW project is now generating only 20MW. Officials said load-shedding could further increase.
