70 more people test positive for the COVID-19 in Parsa

BIRGUNJ, Aug 3: A total of 70 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were detected in Parsa district through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests conducted at Narayani Hospital on Monday.

BIRGUNJ, Aug 3: A total of 70 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were detected in Parsa district through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests conducted at Narayani Hospital on Monday.


According to medical superintendent of the Hospital, Dr Madan Upadhya, 12 females and 61 males of 10 to 77 years age group have been tested positive for the COVID-19. While two of those tested positive for the COVID-19 hail from Bara district, one other is an Indian national.

These new cases were detected in the course of  ‘mass testing’ and ‘contact tracing’.


The 70 new cases were detected among security personnel of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, local level politicians, employees of Hospital and Journalists.
