Prime wins two gold medals

KATHMANDU : Prime College clinched gold medals in both the boys´ and girls´ team events of the college section in the Fourth Krishnadhwaj Memorial School and College Level Table Tennis Championship on Wednesday. Prime defeated CCRC 3-0 in the boys´ team final played at the National Table Tennis Training Center, Lainchaur, while it edged past Oxbridge International 3-2 in the girls´ team final.



Meanwhile, Sonu Thapa Magar of Neologian Academy clinched gold in the girls´ singles of U-16 age group defeating Manju Suwal of Prabhat English Higher Secondary School 11-9, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9 in the final. In the U-12 girls´ singles, Shiksha Tamang of Adarsha Vidya Mandir beat her schoolmate Lashtha Maharjan 9-11, 11-5, 11-6, 11-8 for gold. Likewise, Ankit Baga of Kasthamandap took gold in the U-10 boys´ singles. Baga defeated Sanyong Kapali of AVM 11-9, 11-9, 15-17, 11-5 in the final. Radhika Suwal of Prabhat School beat schoolmate Anju Suwal 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 12-10 in the U-10 girls´ singles final.
