The bank is currently providing services through 50 different points -- 32 branches, five revenue collection counters and 13 authorized representatives in Village Development Committees through "Everest Ghar Dailo Banking Sewa´, which is a branchless banking system of the bank.
The bank also opened its 29th ATM on premises of Lagankhel branch. Naresh Kumar Shrestha, president, Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce, inaugurated the ATM.
The bank has a plan to open branches at Maitidevi and Thamel as well as in Tulsipur of Dang district in the future. It also plans to expand the branchless banking system to villages near Nepalgunj.
Global adds branches
KATHMANDU, July 9: Global Bank Ltd opened new branches at Lamki of Kailali and Nepalgunj of Banke on Wednesday. The bank has also set up ATMs at the branches. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the branches and Krishna Bahadur Kunwar, director, launched the ATMs.
The bank has already opened branches at Kantipath, New Road, Bauddha, Gyaneshwar, Kirtipur and Kuleshwar in Kathmandu besides branches in Birgunj, Narayangadh, Butwal, Pokhara, Baglung, Lahan and Biratnagar outside the valley. The bank has been providing services through 22 ATMs.
The bank plans to open branches in Lagankhel and Dhapasi in Kathmandu valley as well as in Dadeldhura, Gaighat of Udayapur and Dhulabari of Jhapa soon.
Nabil Bank opens five new branches
