UCPN (Maoist) cadre murdered

BARA, May 9: A local leader of UCPN (Maoist) was murdered on Wednesday night while he was attending a party in the neighborhood. Rajendra Mandal of Kalaiya Municipality-2 was attacked with sharp weapons by a group led by Pramod Mandal.



According to Maoist leader Shree Prasad Paswan, Rajendra was rushed to Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead. [break]



Following his death, UCPN (Maoist) obstructed vehicular movement along the Kalaiya-Birgunj section of the road demanding that the guilty be punished.
