The government has aimed to serve Vitamin A to around 3.7 million children with age from six month of the birth to five years and de-worming tablets to around 3.4 million out of them on April 19 and 20. [break]
Deepak Raj Chaulagain of Child Health Division said that as many as 53,000 women health volunteers would be mobilized to administer the capsules.
An arrangement is made to administer the drugs at the centres designated in every ward of all municipalities and VDCs.
The task of administering the capsules has been carried out to reduce child mortality rate and prevent eye-related problems stemming from the deficiency of Vitamin A.
