He has tabled a proposal on launching an eight-month campaign for fresh polls. Leaders present at the meeting supported the proposal.
Acting in-charge of Kochila State Committee Ganesh Uprety said that the party´s cadres would be mobilized for the polls after the proposal gets endorsed.
There are 22 election constituencies in UCPN (Maoist) Kochila State Committee. Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari districts fall under the committee. “Maximum CA candidates from our party will be elected as cadres will actively campaign for votes for eight months prior to the election,” Uprety said.
According to leaders, former combatants and cadres associated with the party´s wings, among others, would be deployed during the campaign. Kirati said that they will organize election rally on May 1 to create an election environment.
UCPN (Maoist) had secured five seats in Jhapa, four in Morang and one in Sunsari in the 2008 CA election.
UCPN (Maoist) Eastern Command in-charge Giri Rajmani Pokhrel is scheduled to train officials and advisers of Kochila State Committee on Thursday.
