They told the police that they buried five bodies after killing the herb collectors on June 10. After police intensified their investigation in the village, they dug the bodies out, chopped them into pieces, and disposed them into a local stream called Nar.

According to investigation officials, the accused said the locals had killed the herb collectors for ´stealing´ the prized herb from their village without their permission. The accused said they pushed two of the victims from a cliff after hacking them to death.
