KATHMANDU, March 15: The Commission formed to probe the crash of a Sita Air Dornier aircraft has submitted its report to the Government on Friday.

The Dornier aircraft flying from Kathmandu for Lukla had crashed on the bank of Manohara River in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-16, Bhaktapur, on September 28 last year, killing all 19 people on the board.

The commission has suggested the bodies concerned to adopt additional safety measures including three interim safety measures for adopting effective aviation measures to guarantee safe flights for passengers, Spokesperson of Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Bal Krishna Ghimire said.

The tenure of the commission was extended twice after it failed to complete the assigned task on time.

The 19 people who died in the incident included four Nepalis.
