ILAM, Oct 6: Six people including Local Development Officer (LDO) sustained injuries in a road accident at Sakhejung VDC-6 in Ilam along the Mechi Highway on Thursday morning.
LDO Komal Prasad Dhamala, technical staffer of Panchthar District Development Committee Kaushila Dahal, her husband Bibek Dhungel of Biratnagar-5, Duraga Prasad Karki of Biratnagar-1, driver Bir Bahadur Tamang of Bharapa, Panchthar, his son Prabin were injured after a bus, Ba 1 Jha 373, heading for Jhapa from Panchthar , met with an accident at 9 am today.
LDO transferred 'for challenging crusher mafia'
LDO Dhamala has received a deep cut to his ear and some scratches on his right hand, Bijaya Rai, a staffer at the Information Department of District Police Office, Panchthar told Republica Online.
The injured are receiving treatment at Panchthar District Hospital.
The cause behind the accident is yet to be investigated.
