BAITADI, Nov 12: Three passengers died on the spot in a road accident along the Bhimdutta highway this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Jhunti Devi Chand, 64, of Shivanath rural municipality-6, Kabita Tiwari, 24, of Pancheshwor rural municipality-4 and Rewati Bhat, 19, of Patan in Baitadi district, according to the Regional Traffic Police Office, Attariya.
Three killed in Sunsari road mishap
The accident took place when a night bus (Na 7 Kha 2723) heading towards Bhimduttanagar from Melauli of Baitadi fell some 100 metres off the road at Chure rural municipality-3 at around 5:00 am.
Similarly, eight others were injured in the same accident. Of the injured, two critically injured Ram Das, 50 and Santosh Das, 15, of Gobaraiya, Bhimduttanagar, in Kanchanpur district have been sent to India for treatment while six others who sustained minor injuries are receiving treatment at Kailali-based Padma Hospital, said Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Phaltude, Dan Bahadur Rokaya.
