Police arrest Indians with fake Indian currency

NAWALPARASI, March 8: Police have arrested four Indian nationals along with counterfeit Indian currency notes in Nawalparasi district.



Police confiscated Rs. 7,000 fake Indian currency bills from them.[break]



The arrested are Pintu Yadav, 20; Bijaya Bin, 26; Motan Raya, 18; and Bawali Raya, 25. Yadav is from Paschimi Champaran district and Bin from Bhedihari, Bihar State in India.



Police arrested them while they were exchanging the currency notes at Madarbaba fair organised at Triveni in the district.



Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Belatari, Dambar Tamang, said 12 Indian currency notes of Rs. 500 denomination and one note of Rs. 1,000 denomination were confiscated from them.



Investigation into the case is underway, said police.
