Speakers at an interaction program in Reporters’ Club on Wednesday claimed that the school will be the first of such type in the foreign land.[break]
The school will reflect Nepali customs and culture, Dr Bhupal Man Shrestha, chairman of Nepal Education Center Tokyo said.
“We have decided to run ‘Everest International School Japan’ from next April under the initiatives of Nepali community active in Japan,” Shrestha said.
According to Japan there are 20,383 Nepalis residing in Japan which consists of around 1,000 children studying in primary level, Shrestha added.
The school will have Nepali teachers and taught in English medium under the Montessori education system as per syllabus prepared by Curriculum Development Center of Nepal, it was informed in the program.
