BUSINESS BRIEFS: Colors launches CDMA phone

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Colors Mobile has launched a dual-SIM (CDMA+GSM) phone in the Nepali market. According to a press statement issued by the company, the handset with 2.2-inch Quarter Common Intermediate Format (QCIF) screen is targeted at those who want an affordable handset with two SIMs. The phone with 1200 mAh battery has inbuilt FM radio, video player, sound recorder, camera, Bluetooth, USB, games and supports Hindi and English language.



The phone can also work as an Internet modem. The company provides one year warranty in set and six months warranty on battery and charger. [break]



Gitanjali Jewels introduces new collection



KATHMANDU
: Gitanjali Jewels at Capitol Mall, Durbar Marg has introduced latest collection from renowned Indian jewelry brands. According to a press statement issued by the company, the store has introduced latest collection from Nakshatra, Asmi, Parineeta, Sangini, Nizam and Gili and D´damas, among others. The statement further said popular Bollywood celebrities will formally inaugurate the store in the near future.



"All diamonds at Gitanjali Jewels are certified by International Gemology Certificates from Independent Gemological Laboratories (IGL) and International Gemological Institute (IGL)," the statement said, adding: "Gitanjali Jewels is the only Indian jeweler member of Leading Jewelers of The World, which ensures transparency in quality and price and adheres to best business practices in jewelry selling".



NMB Bank gives Gorakhnath temple a facelift



KATHMANDU
: Harish Chandra Subedi and Rajendra Kafle, the directors of NMB Bank, on Monday jointly inaugurated the Gorakhnath Temple at Thapathali which was renovated under the NMB Bank Haritage Walk -- the bank´s social intiative. Issuing a press statement, the bank said the renovation is part of the bank´s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that includes raising awareness among the people about the importance of conservation of heritage and supporting the organizations involved in the sector.



The program was attended by representatives from Kathmandu Municipal Corporation, Guthi Sansthan, the bank´s board of directors and management staff. “The bank will continue its endeavor to spread awareness on the importance of heritage preservation through renovation of neglected heritage sites and monuments in the future as well,” said the statement.
