NMB Bank gives Gorakhnath temple a facelift
KATHMANDU: Harish Chandra Subedi and Rajendra Kafle, the directors of NMB Bank, on Monday jointly inaugurated the Gorakhnath Temple at Thapathali which was renovated under the NMB Bank Haritage Walk -- the bank´s social intiative. Issuing a press statement, the bank said the renovation is part of the bank´s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that includes raising awareness among the people about the importance of conservation of heritage and supporting the organizations involved in the sector.
The program was attended by representatives from Kathmandu Municipal Corporation, Guthi Sansthan, the bank´s board of directors and management staff. “The bank will continue its endeavor to spread awareness on the importance of heritage preservation through renovation of neglected heritage sites and monuments in the future as well,” said the statement.
