LAHAN, June 16: The indefinite Madhes banda called by the Nepal Pichhada Barga Mahasangh has caused transportation along the east-west highway to come to a standstill, as well as the closure of educational institutions and industries.

Vehicles plying along the east-west highway have been forced to stop on the way as a result of the banda.
