Arguing that any ordinance brought by this government has no political and constitutional effect, the party said it is not only a major mistake but also a violation of the constitution on part of the president to approve the ordinance by the ‘unconstitutional’ government. [break]
Issuing a statement, the party has also said there have been widespread calls for consensus government and that even the care taker status of the government is ending on November 22.
“In such a situation, endorsement of an ordinance that gives this unconstitutional government the right to make expenditure equal to two-thirds of last year’s expenses has only helped prolong its tenure by eight more months,” the statement reads.
The Mohan-Baidya led party has said frequent meetings of ‘so-called’ four major parties has raised serious question on the role of the president and added that any decision taken only by leaders of the four parties will not be acceptable.
