KHOTANG, June 17: A total of 532 security personnel have been deployed in the district for the second round of local elections. Of them, 432 are Nepal Police and 100 are Armed Police Force.
For the security of polling stations and poling centers, 432 security personnel have been deployed under the command of 11 police inspectors from Eastern Regional Police Training Center, Biratnagar, and Police Headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu, said, DSP Nabin Kishor Pradhan of District Police Office, Khotang.
A police squad has been deployed in every polling center under the command of a Sub Inspector for poling center.
There are 136 polling centers and 173 polling centers in the district.
Khotang district has two municipalities and eight rural municipalities where 115,644 people are casting their votes.
