RATNANAGAR (Chitwan), Oct 17: A total of 178 people have been found infected with dengue in two months' period from mid-August in Chitwan district.
According to Vector Control Supervisor at the District Public Health Office, Chitwan, Ram KC, 178 people were infected with dengue till October 8 from mid-August while 53 more dengue patients were found in the gap of six days till October 10.
KC added that although the DPHO, Chitwan, has launched an awareness campaign to destroy larva at different areas, the disease has not come under control.
KC said, "80 per cent people infected with the disease are from the town area of Ratnanagar." A team from the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Kathmandu, had also launched campaign to control the disease after it started spreading on the eve of Dashain festival. RSS
