BUSINESS BRIEFS: LG launches 3D Dashain offer

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: LG on Friday launched a promotional scheme called LG 3D Dashain to draw the attention of consumers toward LG products. Under the scheme, the company will provide a lucky draw coupon to customers on every purchase of LG television, including 3D, Smart, LED, LCD and CRT TV, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, home theater, DVD player and LG mobile.



"The coupon will allow customers automatic entry into a lucky draw through which a winner of 32 inch Cinema 3D TV will be announced everyday for 40 days," the company said in a statement. [break]



Apart from that, the company has also offered sure-shot prizes on purchase of different products. According to the release, the company would offer LG pen drive for free on purchase of 22 inch/ 26 inch LCD/LED TV, LG DV622 DVD player/CG mobile 763 for free on purchase of 32 inch/42 inch LCD/LED/3D TV, and HT-302 LG home theater for free on LED/Smart/3D TV of 47 inch and Above.



Likewise, the buyers of home theater would get an LG pen drive for free, while customers purchasing microwave oven would get LG cooking kit for free. It is also providing CG spray iron for free on washing machine and LG refrigerator kit for free on Double Door Refrigerator. "The offer would be valid from September 28 to limited period only," concludes the release.



Kapan Food Festival kicks off



KATHMANDU: Magic Moments Vodka, a product of Rolling River Distillers, organized the first Kapan Festival 2012 on Thursday. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai inaugurated the three-day festival. The festival features cultural shows, comedy performances and 30 food stalls. According to a press statement from Rolling River Distillers, popular singers including Khem Raj Gurung, Nima Rumba and Reshma Sunuwar, comedians like Jitu Nepal and Manoj Gajurel, and other bands will perform at the festival.



Civil Bank adds ATM counter at New Road branch



KATHMANDU: Civil Bank on Thursday opened another ATM counter at its New Road branch in a bid to ease customers withdraw money during the busy hours. Issuing a press release on the occasion, the bank expressed hope that addition of a new ATM counter would ensure better financial accessibility for its customers. The bank had opened an ATM counter at its Patan branch recently. The bank has said its two ATM cards, NPN and SCT Network cards, can be used in more than 1,350 terminals across the country. The bank has also announced plans to add more ATM counters in the days to come.
