The victim, Shankar Karki, had gone with four of his friends for a bath at Benighat-9, Salanghat in the afternoon when the four thrashed him and threw him into the river.
According to police, the incident took place after a dispute between the five. Area Police Office Gajuri said Karki is still missing and a search is continuing. Police said they have started investigation after taking the other four into custody.
