KATHMANDU, March 16: A five-year-old girl drowned in a pond at an under-construction park in Chandragiri Municipality-8.

The victim, identified as 5-year-old Purnima Thapa from Kalimati Rural Municipality-4, Salyan, was found unconscious in the pond. Her father, Ghanshyam Thapa, rushed her to APF Hospital in Balambu, where she was pronounced dead during treatment.
