KATHMANDU, May 17: Newly appointed ministers on Thursday expressed their unhappiness over lack of portfolios allocation.

Speaking at a program organized by Reporters’ Club in the capital, Minister Radha Gyawali from CPN UML said that she has not been allocated any portfolios though her party had recommended her as an education minister. [break]

“I’ve been receiving flurry of wishes from my supporters and well-wishers after the appointment. I am feeling a bit anxious to explain when they ask me about my ministry,” Gyawali expressed her uneasiness.

Similarly, Minister Surya Man Gurung has same story to share. Gurung made it clear that he was busy in constitution drafting process though he is yet to be in charge of a ministry.

He also said that he is not even residing in the ministers’ quarter. “I would have to leave the quarter someday in future, there is no use in residing in ministerial quarters,” Gurung stated.

However, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi was happy for not being allocated a ministerial portfolio rather as he had a full time to serve the nation. “I would be busy with my ministerial chores had I been appointed,” Rayamajhi said.
