TANAHUN, May 27: Two of the four pillions in a motorcycle were killed and one severely injured after the motorcycle collided with a passenger bus in a curved road section at Byas municipality -12 on Saturday evening.
The motorcyle (Na 55 Pa 1594) was heading to Damauli from Dumre when it collided with the bus (Na 5 Kha 3082) en route to Kakadbhitta from Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Raj Raya and Dhiraj Chaudhary of Rekha rural municipality-3, Parsa and Sugauli, Parsa respectively. The two passed away while undergoing treatment at Damauli Hospital.
Sanjay Chaudhary from Birgunj and Bhola Chaudhary from Sugauli, Parsa are receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, Sunil Malla, Deputy Superintendent of Police said adding that Sanjay’s condition is critical while Bhola is recovering.
“Four people were riding a motorcycle,” the police said adding that the bus’s driver has been taken under custody.
