42% of total voters in 3 provinces cast votes so far

KATHMANDU, May 14: Eligible voters are taking part in local level elections with gusto across the three provinces 3, 4 and 6 today.
According to Surya Prasad Sharma, spokesperson of Election Commission, 42 percent of total registered voters in 34 districts that cover Provinces 3, 4 and 6 -4,956,925 -have cast their votes by this time.
According to him, the average rate at which voters are casting their votes is one minute.
The first phase of Local Level Elections under a federal political setup is taking place for the first time in the political history of Nepal.
