The expo hopes to bring all the local and international photographers together, sharing and enjoying an event.[break]
International photographers from China, India, Singapore and Korea are expected to showcase their work on the three days of the event.
“We have a lot of passionate professional and amateur photographers in Nepal but they are scattered all across,” said Raj Bhai Suwal, Chairperson of Photokipa 2012.
“We’ve heard about such expos and have always been forced to go aboard to attend these expos. Photokipa is the national version of all these international expos, and we want to make photography more accessible to people here,” he added.
The photography expo, apart from the stalls, will also see a fashion show and an interactive corner where people can learn and take pictures with professional photographers and a workshop section that hosts a three-day workshop for general and amateur photographers.
Raj Bhai further informs that he wants the expo to be more interactive and photographers to have an opportunity to point their cameras at interesting things like the fashion show so that they can learn as well.
