More US support for peace process

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: United States has pledged an additional assistance to help conclude the peace process in Nepal.



In her meeting with Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Satya Pahadi Friday morning, US Acting ambassador to Nepal Patricia A Mahoney said the US is committed to extending further assistance to help conclude the ongoing peace process. [break]



While expressing happiness that the peace process was moving in positive direction, she also expressed confidence that the process of peace and constitution drafting would get momentum due to renewed commitment of political parties to complete the twin tasks.



According to a press statement issued by the minister´s press advisor Sangita Khadka, Minister Pahadi thanked the US for its continued support to Nepal in various areas including in the ongoing peace process.
