69 rendered homeless in Pyuthan fire

PYUTHAN, Feb 24: At least 69 people have been rendered homeless when a fire engulfed 12 houses at Dhuwang-2 of Pyuthan on Thursday.



The victims have been disheartened when the fire broke out at their residence and gutted all the physical properties inside.



Entire clothes, grains and foodstuffs along with livestock including cows and buffaloes have been destroyed with the outbreak of fire.



The fire that started from the house of Raju Rokaya completely turned 12 houses and 15 sheds of the area into ashes.



Though locals put their efforts to take the fire that occurred in the evening to control, it was difficult due to strong winds.



Teams of the Nepal Army and Nepal Police had reached the site to douse the fire and rescue victims. Complete details of the loss incurred due to fire have yet to come.
