POKHARA, August 11: Nepal Tourism Board Pokhara office is to support building tourism-friendly infrastructure in the Jomsom Mukti area of Mustang district. Considering a large number of domestic as well as Indian tourists visiting the area, the road from Rani Pauwa to the Muktinath temple will be made disabled-friendly, said the manager of the office Surya Thapaliya.
MUSTANG, May 12: Muktinath temple area, a prominent religious destination for Hindus and Buddhists, is being polluted with garbage dumped by pilgrims and visitors. Heaps of waste around the area is left uncollected.
THINI, Jan 26: A fresh snowfall in Mustang has caused the temperature to further plummet affecting the life. The snowfall coupled with rain has thrown the normal life out of gear, bringing transportation services to a halt. POKHARA, May 13: Locals in Mustang district are excited with the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Muktinath temple, a famous Hindu shrine in the district. On Saturday morning, Modi flew from Kathmandu to Muktinath, spent around one hour at the temple, where he offered worship for around 25 minutes.

KATHMANDU, June 14: Family of Muktinath Adhikari, who was brutally murdered by Maoists in 2002, filed a complaint at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) on Tuesday.
Adhikari’s wife Indira, son Suman and daughter Sabita, jointly filed the complaint demanding legal action against the perpetrators of the murder.
