NHRC concerned by price hike

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Tuesday expressed its concern over the fuel price hike and its adverse affect on people.



The price hike in the petroleum products will simultaneously increase price of other basic needs of people like local transports and other commodities, reads the press release.[breaj]



NHRC also said that the difficulties faced by the people have hurt them and urged the government to workout on the adverse impact of the price hike.



The commission also urged the student unions to be peaceful during protest programs and seek consensus with the government through dialogue.
