KATHMANDU, April 16: A 4.5 Richter scale earthquake hit Gorkha and surrounding areas at 12:35 PM, the National Seismological Center (NSC) said. This is the third earthquake above 4.5 Richter scale in the past five days.

On April 13, a 4.6 Richter scale earthquake hit Rasuwa district while another 4.8 Richter scale earthquake hit Bajhang on the 14th.
The earthquake's epicenter was Gorkha district. No casualties have been reported so far.
