Meanwhile in another match played Thursday, Triton College(TC) defeated National College of Business Studies (NCBS) by 7 runs. Winning the toss, TC chose to bat and posted 112 runs in their 20 overs losing 7 wickets. Man of the match Rupesh Shrivastav( 29*) top scored for TC. Shrivastav hit 4 fours and a sixer to guide his team to the total as TC were reeling at 56 with half of the side back in the pavilion.
Bidhan Giri and Sandip Shrestha took two wickets each for NCBS. In reply, NCBS could only muster 105 runs, falling short by seven runs. Opener Bidhan Giri top scored for CITE. His 28 run knock off 29 balls comprised of 4 hits to the fence. Rupesh Srivastav, who bagged 2 wickets, was the pick of the bowlers for CITE.
Classic College International (CCI) will play Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) in the first match on Friday. Kantipur City College- Red (KCC-R) will face Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) in the second match of the day.
