Once at Khumjung, after two days of rigorous trekking, the participants will spend three days, rock climbing, bouldering, talking about high altitude medicine. On the third day of their stay they will participate in the Khumbu Festival.
After a day of trekking from Kumjung to Lukla, the group will fly back to Kathmandu on the eighth day of the trip, concluding the nine day journey.

“Nepal has a strong Sherpa community and I hope, thorough this meet, we can have young people from all across the globe to learn their mountain philosophy,” says Anne Arran, President of the UIAA Youth Commission.
A significant number of local climbers will also be joining the international participants in helping the learning process of the young climbers by swapping experiences and techniques.
“I have been trekking since I was four years old,” says Hugo Kriteinger, a participant from Cape Town, South Africa. “Nepal looked absolutely beautiful as we flew in and I am dying to explore parts of it and meet new people,” he adds.
