The Home Minister said that the news of interferences in police policies, and transfers and promotions, was baseless, and added that the government had also started to make draft of the Police Service Commission.

He informed that welfare schemes will be run for the lower level police staff to boost their morale, and expressed the view that a gender friendly environment will be created in the police organization.

Gachchhadar also directed the organization chiefs to include traffic awareness in school curriculum.

He also offered bouquets at the police memorial and awarded seven police personnel with letters of appreciation and membership of the Smarak Guthi.

Home Secretary Sushil Jung Bahadur Rana urged the police organization to give the people a feel of security and good governance.

Martyr police families, police officers, staffs and civil society members had also offered flowers at the police memorial to pay tribute to them.
