36 Nar murder accused sent to jail

POKHARA, Aug 1:  A single bench of District Judge Narayan Prasad Pokharel on Saturday sentenced to jail 36 of the 40 accused in the killing of seven Yarchagumba pickers from Gorkha at Nar of Manang district on June 10. The accused have been kept at the District Education Office for the lack of a prison in the district.



According to the court´s verdict, a 12-year-old boy was handed over to his mother while the rest three accused were released on a bail of Rs 10,000 each, Chief District Officer of Manang Ramraj Subedi said.
