Khadka carded one-under 66, while Ramesh Nagarkoti remained on the third place with a score of even-par. Five players, Pashupati Sharma, Ram Thapa, Yelamber Singh Adhikari, Ramesh Adhikari and Sanjay Lama shared the fourth position with the score of one-over 68.[break]
Deepak Neupane and Surya Prasad Sharma are tied for the ninth position at two-over 69. Three others, Mani Rai, CB Bhandari and Suman Rai, shared the 11th position with the score of three-over 70. Prasanna Upreti had a disastrous debut in the professional circuit, scoring 20-over 87. Prasanna carded 10-over 43 on the front nine and another 10-over 44 on the back nine.
Meanwhile, Dipendra Rayamajhi and Kamal Tamang shared the lead in the amateur section, while Om Thakuri is third at five-over 72. Surya Manandhar and Dinesh Prajapati are tied for fourth with the score of six-over 73.
Leader Shrestha hit two birdies against a lone bogey on the front nine to take a turn at one-under 32.The RNGC pro had a bogey-free two-under 32 on the back nine that consisted two birdies.
Fellow RNGC pro Rabi began the day with a bogey and dropped shots on the next two holes but managed three birdies to finish the first nine holes at even-par 33. On the back nine, Rabi hit two birdies against a bogey.
A total of 46 players--26 pros and 20 amateurs--are taking part in the 54-hole tournament sponsored by golf enthusiast Sumod Bastakoti. Out of the total cash prize of Rs 300,000, the top three pros will receive Rs 60,000, Rs 41,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
