Poudel will contest for the top post at Parliament as the political parties have not yet reached agreement for national government.

The CWC meeting lasting a little longer than 10 minutes on Thursday morning nominated Poudel, according to NC leader Bal Krishna Khand.
According to a press statement issued by NC , the party proposed Poudel as the candidate for the PM after the national consensus government could not be formed due to special circumtances.
The party also requested all lawmakers to support Poudel´s candidacy.
