KATHMANDU, Jan 1: A person has been arrested in the case of human trafficking. Chitra Prasad Dhungel, 35 of Sundarharaaicha municipality-8, Morang has been nabbed by the Central Investigation Bureau, Maharajgunj.
Dhungel is accused of luring potential migrants of better jobs in Johannesberg, South Africa by taking Rs. 700,000 and more per person. Migrants, who fell into Dhungel’s trap were forced to work for free, suffered mental, physical torture and cruel behavior. The victims escaped South Africa to return Nepal. The Police is investing more into the case.
