Ban on use of mobile phones in class

BHAKTAPUR, Aug. 2: The Department of Education (DoE) has banned the use of mobile phones in the classrooms at schools after the increasing use of this means of communications started adversely affecting the teaching and learning activities.



Similarly, the Department has also prohibited junk foods and dry foods and snacks containing harmful chemicals and additives.[break]



The use of mobile phone by students has escalated in recent days, causing problems.



Director General at DoE Dr. Lav Dev Awasthi said the use of mobile has been prohibited in classrooms to make the teaching and learning activities in schools effective and to create conducive environment in schools.
