Dailekh, June 26: As many as 33 security personnel mobilized to manage and secure various quarantine facilities in Dailekh district have tested positive for Covid-19.

According to Corona Focal Person Tir Prasad Regmi, 33 security personnel have been diagnosed with Covid-19 so far. Of the 33 infected, 20 security personnel are of the Armed Police Force, nine of Nepal Police and four of Nepal Army.

Along with these security persons, 10 other health workers and employees have also tested positive for Covid-19 in Dailekh.

These security persons are undergoing treatments at isolation centers in their own offices.

“All other security bodies have undergone Covid-19 test and results were negative,” said Jeevan Battarai, chief of the Armed Police Force in Dailekh.

Security personnel have been mobilized in the district for 24 hours a day and seven days a week since the reporting of the first case of Covid-19 in the district.

So far, Dailekh has reported 736 cases of Covid-19.
