Those arrested are Mukesh Chand, 19, Bishnu Bhatta, 18, Hem Shah, 17, Kalu Chaudhari, 19 and Sameer Chaudhari, 19, of Getawan-2 of the district. [break]
They had been arrested after the victim filed a complaint with the police, stating that the five had forcibly raped her by taking her to a nearby jungle from near the gate of the local Gata hospital.
The incident happened at around 5:00 pm, while the girl was cycling home from Atariya, informed SP Basanta Pant of the District Police Office, Kailali.
Of the five accused, three have confessed to having committed the crime. The other two during interrogation told the police, that they stood nearby while the other three had raped her.
A rape case has been filed against the youths at court, informed the police officer.
