RAUTAHAT, Nov 30: A teenage girl has been ‘burnt alive’ in Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-in the district.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Surtiya Kumari Paswan of Dewani Gonahi Municipality-7, Gonahi Tole, confirmed police.
Police recovered the partly burnt body while it was on fire on the bank of rivulet one-and-a-half kilometers from Gonahi Tole. Those involved in burning the body fled the scene when the security personnel reached the site.
Police have initiated investigation into the case, said Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Govinda Thapa.
Meanwhile, the police have recovered a decomposing body of a youth at the district headquarters, Gaur.
