NIMS edged past NASA 34-30 as it fought from a set down to win the match by a narrow margin.[break]
NASA took the first quarter 12-7 but failed to continue the lead in the remaining quarters. NIMS took the other quarters 10-7, 7-5, 10-6 for the win. Bina Nakarmi scored 15 points for the winning team while Samikchya Neupane scored 12 points for the losing team.
In another semifinal match in the women´s category, Samichhin Bista´s 21 points guided Morgan to an impressive 47-25 victory over Nobel. Morgan lost the first quarter 6-11 but made a good come back to take the lead scoring 19-6, 17-2 in the second and the third quarters. Nobel took the last quarter 6-5 but that was not enough for the win. NIMS will meet Morgan in the final.
National Campus who had defeated defending champion VS Niketan in the pre-quarterfinals of the men´s category made it to the final beating Prime 45-32. Bikash Gurung contributed 18 points in National´s victory. National took all the quarters 12-10, 9-6, 9-4, 15-12.
In another semifinal, Morgan defeated Depot School from Sunsari 72-54. Morgan took the first quarter 23-12 and lost the second 16-17.
They came back in the game and took the remaining quarters 15-10, 18-15 with 20 points from Saurav Shrestha. Marshal Rai of Depot was the highest scorer of the match with 21 points.
